A qualified chartered accountant, Andy Allen earned his accreditation in Sheffield in 2007, specialising in auditing for manufacturing companies, and joined ITM Power in 2011 as Financial Controller. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2015 and has played a pivotal role in the company’s financial strategy and growth.
During his tenure at ITM, Andy has been instrumental in forming and embedding strategic partnerships such as the formation of ITM’s joint venture with Linde Engineering as part of wider funding rounds, significantly bolstering the company’s financial and commercial position.
In January 2025, Andy moved into his VP Strategy role where he leads the strategic planning process, identifying market trends, analysing the competitive landscape and identifying potential opportunities.
