Asa has over 20 years of relevant experience across geology, commodity marketing, mining equity research and business development.
Prior to joining Savannah, he spent 13 years as a mining equities analyst based in London covering small and mid-cap mining stocks and was ranked No.1 (2017), No. 2 (2018) and No.3 (2011) stockpicker for European mining equities by Thomson Reuters in its annual Analyst Awards during that time. Before becoming a mining analyst, Asa studied geology at Oxford University and Mineral Deposit Evaluation at The Royal School of Mines, Imperial college, London, worked as a geologist, and in marketing, research and trading roles in the Precious Metals Division of FTSE 100 speciality chemicals company, Johnson Matthey. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a Member of the UK Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
